Jennifer M. Fong, ASID, CID - Principal Interior Designer
A native of Los Angeles, Jennifer has always had an interest and love of architecture, from the Bullocks Wilshire Building, to the Hollywood Bowl and the Tail O' the Pup hot dog stand. Having originally graduated with a degree in economics, she worked in a series of Japanese trading companies since it utilized her educational background and fluency in Japanese. A series of circumstances brought Jennifer to Tokyo, where she lived for almost two years.
Living in Japan, she worked briefly at a small, full-service architectural and interior design firm in Tokyo. While still a junior at UCLA, Jennifer had ignored her brother's suggestion to become an interior designer after she redesigned some rooms in her parents' home one summer. However, her work experience in Tokyo and memory of her brother's suggestion rekindled a latent dream and inspired her to move back to the United States to begin a formal study of interior design.
After graduating from the four year program at UCLA Extension, Jennifer worked as an intern, and eventually as an office manager and designer for Interior Spaces, Inc. After nearly seven years there, with the last three as senior designer and project manager, Jennifer decided to pursue independent projects and establish TD Studio, LLC.
Her future project goals include working on hospitality projects, such as boutique hotels and restaurants, residential and commercial projects in Japan, Thailand, and China, and developing a design coalition among fellow trades, such as lighting consultants, structural and electrical engineers, landscape designers, architects and general contractors to collaborate on high-end residential projects.
